I’m 17, and I got a sewing machine for my birthday.
What are some cool things I can make that I’d actually like?

I’ve finally gotten my Mom to hand over her sewing machine, and I want to learn how to sew properly. I mean, I know how to use the machine, but i want to be able to make like dresses and tops ( at a beginners level).
Yeah, i know it would be easier to BUY clothes, but this much more fun(!!!!!) and added fashion kudos ;)

♫ Bubastes, Cat Goddess* asked:

Its for her 1st Dance.
These are your materials:
2.5 meters light weight white satin

1 1/4 meters of the following:
Crushed white velvet
Pink rainbow organza
Lavender organza
White lace
Peridot organza

Other supplies:
2 spools of rainbow satin ribbon ( 2 meters each)
1 liter of waterproof clear drying glue
822 gr. (29 oz) Clear iridescent glitter

You have a sewing machine, plenty of thread, needles, rhinestones, etc…

Here where the fun begins.

Mrs. Smythe-Roberts calls & wants a description of the dress. If she likes it, she’ll pay $7500 & recommend you to all her friends.

Please describe the dress to her as though it were to be worn at a Fashion Show.

O.K., I’d love to have some fun hair, but my scalp is super sensitive so I can’t do much (chemically) with my hair. If I use clip-in hair extensions, will I have to wake up early and put them in everyday? Or is getting them sewed in the better deal?
