A long time ago, over 30 years, yikes, I used to sew most of my clothes. I was very tall for my area and the styles did not cover parts that needed covering…..anyway, am near 50 now and am thinking of getting back to sewing for fun and to make stuff for the house and repairs instead of always doing them by hand. What should I look for in a machine. Any helpful answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Does anyone have some ideas of cool things to sew?

I’m just starting to sew again, and I’m trying to find a neat project to work on. I saw some pea coat patterns in a magazine yesturday that looked cool. I never really thought of sewing something like that. What are some other ideas of cool things to sew that a girl in college might like, that would be fun to show to her friends?

I know that probably sounds like a very stupid and obvious question, LOL!

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how to make my own placemats just in case I wouldn’t be able to find any to match my theme in my dining room. I’ve never really done any sewing before but I figured it could be a fun little project =D Thanks!
